Arts is a product of imaginative and creative thinking that delimits our students’ abilities
to express themselves. It is a diverse learning area that enhances the curriculum at
HFAA.
How Our Students Create
Improved Analytic and Problem-Solving Skills
Incorporating art into a student’s life helps shape problem-solving and critical thinking skills by relying upon the full person to execute the craft. Coursework triggers both creative and cognitive areas to work synergistically and cooperatively.
Increased Self-Confidence
Our middle school brings out the best in our students through our various programs.
Music and visual arts encourage students to hone listening, interpretation, and creative
expression skills that help build selfconfidence, connection, and personal identity.

Deeper Learning Through the Arts
HFAA students find innovative ways to express themselves and demonstrate learning through various art forms.
Subject Areas
Visual Arts
Every middle school student engages in art as a vital part of our core curriculum, giving them daily opportunities to explore their creativity and discover new ways to express themselves. Those who wish to deepen their passion can pursue advanced art, where they further refine their skills and grow as confident, imaginative creators.
Music
Our middle school students are invited to immerse themselves in a vibrant world of music, with opportunities to join ensembles such as band, guitar, and choir. They can also explore their creativity through piano, where they develop foundational skills and discover the joy of making music with confidence and expression.
