Clubs

  • Student Council
Student Council is a club focused on improving student life and building our school community. We host school dances, self-care nights, spirit events like homecoming week, and more! Through these events, we build student leaders and create opportunities to encourage teamwork, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Spectrum
Spectrum supports and maintains a positive social environment and safe space for students who identify as LGBTQ+ and allies
  • Tabletop Gaming
Whether you decide to join/start a Dungeons and Dragons campaign or want to pick from our selection of games/Magic the Gathering decks, The Tabletop Gaming Club welcomes you!
  • Cosplay and Cons
To allow for fellowship of students who enjoy cosplay, anime, sci-fi, comics, etc. and who enjoy attending conventions for said genres.
  • Film Club
Club members meet and watch a film, then discuss the film’s themes, symbolism, and place in pop culture. We watch a good mix of feature-length films that run the gamut from Hollywood classics to blockbusters to Oscar- and BAFTA-worthy films, and just plain fun movies.  Students are encouraged to request films, and the sponsor works hard to accommodate student requests within reason.
  • Poetry Out Loud
This club is an informal group of students who wish to participate in the school-wide, state-wide, and ultimately nationwide contests for Poetry Out Loud, an organization that sponsors poetry reciting contests.  Students sign up and are given access to links from Poetry Out Loud that include the organization’s yearly poetry anthology and examples of performances by previous years’ winners.  Students are then advised to pick poems to recite for the school-wide competition.
  • Modern Band
Modern Band teaches students to play, perform, improvise, and compose using popular music that the students themselves select. Modern Band focuses on genres like rock, pop, Latin, rap, R&B, country, and more with an immersive approach that empowers students to start playing on day one.
  • National Honors Society
The purpose of this organization shall be to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to serve, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of Harding Fine Arts Academy.
  • Naturalist Club
A club dedicated to exploring, understanding, and preserving the natural world. We hike, observe nature, and pick up litter leaving the world a little better than we found it.
  • Youth and Government
Youth and Government, partnered with the YMCA, helps increase student awareness and participation in the community by immersing them in civic engagement and the political process.
  • Black Student Association
Black Student Association works to uplift and support students in the Black community within our school. We work as a community to promote an inclusive environment for all students.
